Hello, I am Raya.

I am a holistic practitioner who works in the integrative space of health and wellness.

It is my honour to support individuals as they navigate their physical and emotional disfunction and discomfort.

I am passionate about learning, wellness and embodiment.

I am the creator of The Lumina Method™ and a certification program for practitioners ready to expand their practice into the transformational space for their clients and communities.

  • A Holistic Practitioner offering integrative care

    Creator of The Lumina Method™

    Trained as a Physiotherapist

    A Schroth Method Practitioner

    A Conscious Connected Breathwork Facilitator

    A Ceremonialist

A lover of movement, nature, community & connection

I am passionate about creating a transformational space for individuals to learn more about all aspects of their wellness.

My career began in allopathic healthcare as a conventional physiotherapist, spending the majority of that decade focused on the treatment of scoliosis and other spine conditions as a Schroth practitioner. And I loved it.

Yet, it became clear to me that when the focus is only on the physical body all aspects of wellness are not being considered and often my treatment sessions did not lead to lasting changes.

Through my own wellness journey and direct client care, I came to learn that Western, Eastern and integrative knowledge, modalities, techniques and tools are all key to one’s health, wellness and longevity.

Close to 5 years ago I began to transition my work into the integrative space, blending the worlds of Western and holistic healthcare. I started to witness how lasting changes can occur when the root cause of disfunction is cleared from the body. Then balance can be restored and physical function can be optimized.

Leading to more ease and joy in life.

If you have worked with various practitioners and have tried numerous modalities and your discomfort returns or your injury is still present? Perhaps you are now looking for something new and different.

If this resonates with you, I invite you to connect with me and we can begin your journey of transformation together.

“I came to Raya and breathwork through a recommendation by my physio as an option to try to break through a plateau in my rehab of a T12 burst fracture and surgery. PTSD has also been a factor since this accident and the thought was this could be hindering my recovery. Raya guided me into the breathwork through gentle questions and conversation, seeing what came up for me and letting this create the direction for my breathwork. I found the sessions created an opening to explore my feelings and emotions around my injury, the accident and what blocks this may be creating in my recovery. Raya created a welcoming calming supportive space for me to explore and tap into the breathwork and in my case guide me gently towards seeing a connection between the pain I still suffer as a result of the fracture and a deeper feelings that I am holding onto around the physical and metal/emotional impact of this injury. I would recommend Raya as a caring practitioner who takes an open minded intuitive approach to treatment and breathwork.”

“In 2021, I went through post-surgery complications that were affecting many parts of my being, physically, emotionally and mentally. Not sure where to begin, a friend told me about Raya and her breathwork practice and how it had been helping her with her own journey. I was unsure how breathing would help me manage my symptoms but I was open to anything. The moment I stepped into Raya's space, I felt calm and at peace. Her space and energy are so inviting. Being vulnerable and open in sessions with Raya is so easy because she is one of those people you just feel instantly comfortable and at ease with. She has a holistic practice and really treats the individual as a whole and doesn't just focus on the symptoms alone. It is very apparent that Raya puts so much time, care, thought and energy into both her 1:1 sessions with folks and in her circles. If you are hesitant to try this type of work, don't be! Raya is such a safe space, offers great instruction to those trying breathwork for the first time, can explain the science behind the breath and also offers resources via email after your sessions with her. Raya is so knowledgeable when it comes to the body and her practice is so unique compared to any other practitioner I have been to. Learning how to breathe has created more self trust in my life and given me a tool on how to manage anxiety when it comes up in the body. Thank you for everything, Raya!”

“I thought going through spinal fusion surgery would make me weaker. Meeting Raya and learning about Schroth changed my life for the better. I am more mentally and physically stronger  and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Raya has been my light! She  has always found positive outcomes with hard situations and I could never imagine a better person to go through my experience.”

I welcome your questions.
